Life with VAIO
A simple joy to use
When my husband brought home the new Sony VAIO TP2G I thought to myself, "Not again." The last thing I needed was another PC cluttering up the house. But after he took it out of the box, I had second thoughts. I even helped with the installation. The HDMI cable made set up easy — it connected directly to our LCD television and in minutes we were up and running. What I really like about it is that you don't have to know anything about computers to use it. The included remote commander was designed just for the VAIO Living Browser, which simplifies everything. I don't even use the keyboard or mouse, yet I can sit on the sofa and play around on the Internet and browse family photos and videos. This new VAIO is really great. Quite frankly, I'd recommend it for any family.
A great way to entertain
A great way to entertain
My wife loves to entertain so when she suggested some kind of home entertainment system, one of my friends recommended the VAIO TP2G. One look at its round design and I was sold. Never mind that the thing is really a powerful PC — it looks great and fits our living room perfectly. I also like that it comes with wireless LAN since having cables lying around drives my wife nuts. Plus, we put it in the living room and connected it to the TV so the last thing we wanted was a tangle of cables. Last Saturday we had some friends over and all of them liked the idea of a home computer that doesn't really look like one. I gave some of the guys a taste of VAIO MusicBox and showed them how I could pipe music throughout the house. Later, my wife showed a slide show of our trip to Prague. Come to think of it, I don't know what they enjoyed most, our vacation photos or our new VAIO.
A compact powerhouse
To tell the truth, it wasn't the round design that sold me on the VAIO TP2G as much as its unreal performance and compact size. The fact that it has a large 500GB hard disk, the latest Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor and 1GB of memory was about all I needed to know. Also, since my flat is kind of small, I didn't want a big box and monitor kicking around. I've already got a small TV that I figured I could use as a monitor so I thought, "Great. This is all I need." Lately I've been getting into making short movies and my new VAIO pretty much lets me do whatever I want. It came with this new movie making software called VAIO Movie Story, which I use to make the first cuts of my films. After that, if I want to do more editing, I use Adobe® Premiere® Elements, which also came bundled. As far as I'm concerned, Sony really outdid themselves with this new VAIO.
