 | | Everybody needs a vacation sometimes. And although getting away from it all is a great way to get refreshed, I never want to lose track of what’s happening in the world. With the VAIO UX, I find it easy to balance my desire to surf the waves with my need to surf the Net. Wherever I happen to be, I can just whip out my VAIO UX within a Wi-Fi® hotspot, quickly launch my Web browser and check on the weather, research my next destination, make reservations, whatever I want. The thumb-operated side buttons let me scroll through the information without a mouse, much like a portable game unit. And since the Web browser screen can be rotated, I can display entire pages vertically like a PDA. With the optional high-capacity battery attached, I can count on 7.5 hours of consecutive operation even if I’m not near an AC outlet. | | My VAIO UX is equipped with two MOTION EYE cameras, making it easy to communicate through images instead of just words. Wherever I take my VAIO UX, if there’s a scene I like, I can take snapshots or shoot movie clips and store them on the built-in 32 GB flash memory. It’s literally a huge album of pictures and videos that I can always carry around with me. And if I have an Internet connection I can email those images to friends and family, or upload them to my blog for the whole world to see. Naturally, I’d have a story to tell for each image, and VAIO UX makes it easy to input text with its built-in keyboard. When the need to communicate is immediate, I can count on its Bluetooth® technology for real-time mobile communication like VoIP for video chatting. As they say, “wish you were here”, and if go-anywhere communication is what you want, the VAIO UX is where you can find your solution. . | | For some people a laptop PC is the way to go, but for me I need more freedom. And although there’s usually a trade-off between mobility and performance, VAIO UX gives me both. It offers the power of Windows Vista™ in roughly the same size as a PDA, for a seamless environment with my office software. Its built-in flash memory makes my applications run faster and my battery last longer. And with its Fingerprint Recognition scanner my VAIO UX lets me log-in quickly because it knows it’s me. So anywhere I am at the time becomes my office, no desk required. But that doesn’t mean I’m all work and no play. VAIO UX is a multimedia entertainer that can be used as a portable audio player, a portable video player that reproduces a beautiful on-screen picture, a mobile camera with lots of storage capacity, a notepad that I can scribble memos on, or even a VoIP mobile phone. And it all fits into my coat pocket or bag. It’s my partner who’s always there, and sometimes it’s so inseparable that it becomes a part of me. . |
