recently bought a brand new VAIO SZ55GN/B for my work, and
already I'm so attached to it! Because it's so slim
and light, it's really easy for me to carry it with me
wherever I need to go. But at the same time I feel the 13.3"
wide size is a really great fit for my life as a publishing
editor. Its 13.3" wide screen
offers me plenty of space to display two application windows
at the same time, so I can compare two different novel drafts
with ease, while the full-pitched,
full-sized keyboard keeps typing comfortable even throughout
particularly long days. What's more, my VAIO SZ55GN/B features

performance with two processors,as well as wireless
LAN 802.11 a/b/g capability, so I have the mobile performance
to satisfy my needs in an array of situations — not to
mention Sony's Hybrid Graphic
System that lets me select STAMINA MODE when I'm out and
about to make my battery last longer, then switch back to
SPEED MODE whenever I need to dazzle an author with high quality
cover art on the screen! Best of all in my view, it's just
so good looking. I mean, just look at that cool,
solid Charcoal Black design and the attractive light silver
colour of the aluminium hairline

My business partners are located overseas, meaning I often work from home in the early morning. Luckily, the VAIO SZ55GN/B gives me all the convenience of working from the office, with a built-in camera and microphone that allows me to have videoconferences anywhere. It also features an ExpressCardT/34 slot , making it fast for me to import any data I need to share with them from a range of different media via the supplied ExpressCardT/34 type Memory Card Adaptor . It's not unusual for these conferences to go a little over time too, so I like having the Docking Station that lets me disconnect the VAIO SZ55GN/B from everything at once when I need to make a dash out the door. It's also reassuring to know my VAIO SZ55GN/B not only has VAIO HDD Protection to keep my data safe if jostled, but also a fingerprint sensor for quick, secure log-on. I'm rushing on my way to a client presentation now, actually. Once I get there, however, I know I can rely on the VAIO SZ55GN/B to make things easier for me. Thanks to its Plug & Display function, all I have to do is connect to their monitor and I'm ready to present. I'm certain the client will find my proposals as attractive as they do my stylish VAIO SZ55GN/B - which I always catch them eyeing with envy! |

 I always try to catch a few relaxing moments with a coffee during gaps in my schedule. And with the VAIO SZ55GN/B, I can get so much more out of my breaks. Sony's Hybrid Graphic System lets me temporarily use the external graphics chip in SPEED MODE so I can watch the DVD video I made over the weekend with really smooth graphic processing. Once I've finished my coffee, I can return to STAMINA MODE to make my power last longer back at work. I've got quite a big report to make today, so I'll begin by taking a few shots on my Cyber-shot* relating to the subjects I'm going to deal with. Then I'll take the Memory Stick Duo out of the camera and slip it right into my VAIO SZ55GN/B's built-in Memory Stick Duo slot to transfer the images. I'm going to need a lot of files and information from my colleagues too. But because the VAIO SZ55GN/B comes complete with a supplied ExpressCard™/34 type Memory Card Adaptor, it's going to be easy to import a load of files no matter if they're stored on different types of memory cards. With my VAIO SZ55GN/B, everything's so simple and fast!

| When I get spare time at weekends, I love to throw myself
into my audiovisual hobbies — editing movies and music
and creating my own DVDs. My VAIO SZ55GN/B makes it so easy;
it's like having my own mobile creative studio. Once I've
filmed some pleasing footage on my Handycam*, I just import it to my VAIO SZ58GN/C via i.LINK. Or sometimes I use Adobe® Premiere® Elements when I want to do more advanced video editing. Being quite a music fan I still have a lot of vinyl, so I'm finding it really useful to be able to take analogue audio sources and turn them into digital with SonicStage
Mastering Studio. With Sony's
Sound Reality chip, the resulting digital audio quality
is surprisingly high, while SonicStage CP
lets me manage my music with ease. Once I've got all my video
and music data right there in my VAIO SZ55GN/B, I'm free to
combine sound and visuals as I please and produce a DVD right
away with Sony's Click to DVD
software. Then I'm ready to show off my handiwork to my friends
— they're always amazed at what I can do with my stylish
VAIO SZ55GN/B! |
