VAIO MusicBox is easy to use. Just turn it loose on music stored on a HDD and let it quickly categorise the songs. Sony's original and intelligent 12 Tone Analysis automatically deconstructs the sound wave data of each song into 12 tones, then performs further analysis of melody, tempo, volume, and other musical characteristics. Based on the results of this process, it assigns each song to one of 24 Music Channels (or moods), such as morning or evening sounds, soft or sad songs, party or dance tunes, walking or running music, and more. To listen to music, simply select your mood and VAIO MusicBox automatically plays back the appropriate songs. Should a particular tune catch your fancy, you can switch instantly to Mix Channel mode and play all related songs based on artist, year of release, or album. You can also listen to only the refrains of each song in your collection with Chorus Playback. What's more, using this great software on a Sony VAIO equipped with the Sound Reality chip guarantees a listening experience par excellence superior to that of conventional sound chips.
VAIO MusicBox works in conjunction with Sony's Sonic Stage Mastering Studio, which automatically applies the most suitable sound enhancers to each song. Additionally, you can export your Music Channels to just about any portable music player that supports the m3u common playlist format.
