This entertainment content browser provides quick viewing and playing
enjoyment of entertainment files stored on VAIO notebooks through one interface. Viewing and
playback of audio and visual content is done simply by moving the cursor with an arrow key.
When you select "Music", various tracks stored on your VAIO become available by search refinement
menu or personally registered album jacket image. You can enlarge thumbnail photos and start slideshows
in "Pictures". Videos like those taken by Handycam* or received through the Internet can be played
back in "Videos". Switching seamlessly between Music, Pictures, and Videos is possible via cursor and arrow key. You can also enjoy the content on other VAIO models connected to your home network. All media files plus CDs and DVDs can be enjoyed without opening other applications. What's more, SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter can enhance sound quality for exceptional audio and video pleasure.

| This software lets you share AV content like music, photo, and video files on your home network. From the VAIO model or PC (with VAIO Media installed) set up in your living room, for instance, enjoy AV files stored on the VAIO model in your den without moving either computer (or the actual files). Songs can be quickly searched and easily played when managed by SonicStage selection by playlist, album image, artist or genre. Just designate the folder within the VAIO model in the den and the songs in the folder will be played from the VAIO model in the living room. Also, you can select music as background music for photo slideshows stored on other VAIO notebooks connected to your home network. Sony helps you extend the possibilities of home entertainment. |

| Sony's original DVgate Plus software allows high-precision digital importing, editing and exporting of movies in various movie formats. You can import movies from DV or MICROMV Handycams* by simply connecting and using the one click button. Scene division, scene list creation and frame restoration are accomplished automatically. During import, you can easily select only the video footage you need by using manual capture and batch capture functions. Extraction of still images is easy as well. Imported scenes can then be cut and connected, or edited further via Adobe® Premiere® Standard, which includes Sony's VAIO Edit Components ver. 5.0 plug-in to ensure images of the highest quality. Finally, your edited movies can be exported to DV or MICROMV Handycam* equipment (MPEG1 and MPEG2 file export also possible). Then search, sort and play back music conveniently with My Library. (SonicStage supports popular ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, WMA, MP3, and WAV formats.) And when you want your music "to go", create original compilation CDs in MP3 or ATRAC3 format as well as standard audio CDs on your VAIO. Since photos are displayed as thumbnails on the screen, browsing is a breeze.
