 Ironically, after getting our VAIO LM, we seem to be spending more time in front of our “TV”. Actually, that’s because our VAIO is our TV. It has a built-in hybrid TV tuner for reception of digital and analogue TV broadcasts, and comes with a remote commander for convenient operation from the couch. The big 19” Clear Bright High Colour LCD screen means everybody can watch the picture together, and with its exclusive built-in subwoofer and satellite speaker system, it delivers superb sound to match the picture. Whether it’ s a soap opera, a film or a sporting event, if it’s a keeper, I can hit the Rec button on the remote and record it onto the VAIO’s 250GB hard disk drive. It’s kind of like having a TV and a VCR rolled into a PC. Of course, watching DVDs is more enjoyable too, when viewed on this big screen. To check email, check out the Web, or video chat with friends with the built-in 1.3 megapixel camera, a simple push of the remote’s VAIO button puts me in PC mode. There’s no doubt that VAIO is at the centre of our home entertainment right now, and we love every minute of it. |

 Video editing was something I always wanted to do but somehow never found the time to do. Well, those days are over now. Because with VAIO Movie Story, editing is so easy that anybody can create masterpieces in no time. To put it simply, all I do is choose the scenes and type of music, and VAIO Movie Story does the rest! Before you know it, the patchwork of movie clips and still photos has been edited into a professional looking video. And whenever I want to take more creative control with a full-fledged editing programme, I use Adobe® Premiere® Elements. These applications run smooth and glitch-free thanks to the high basic performance of VAIO LM, including the Windows Vista® Home Premium operating system, NVIDIA® high-performance graphics accelerator, and Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor. That’s ample power for editing, gaming, broadband, you name it. And with its built-in slim multi-compatible DVD drive, it’s easy to share my videos, music or other personal content with friends and family. |

 You can’t help but notice the sleek and slim design of this computer. Its aluminum-reiled transparent frame and design-integrated bezel makes it look like a designer frame with an LCD TV in the centre. Its slim profile and minimal footprint means I have many options on where to place it — on my desk, on my bureau, where it’s convenient. And since it’s VESA mount compatible, I can even hang it on the wall! Regardless of the room I use it in, built-in wireless LAN means I don’t need a cable to stay connected to the Internet. Its keyboard and mouse are both wireless too, so I can operate VAIO LM from a distance. No tangles, no mess. It’s perfectly designed for my room, and my lifestyle. |
