VAIO AW is equipped with a Blu-ray Disc™ combo drive so you can enjoy watching high-definition movies on Blu-ray Disc™ as well as standard-definition DVD content, plus music on CDs.

VAIO AW comes bundled with two essential tools for today's digital photographers. Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 2 and Adobe® Photoshop® Elements® 6 are multi-talented digital photo editing applications make it easy to view, organise, edit and showcase your photos.
The drag-and-drop intuitive operation of Adobe® Premiere® Elements® 4 lets you create edited videos with ease. What’s more, using it in combination with Adobe® Photoshop® Elements® 6 lets you transcend the borders of videography and photography. For example, you can edit stills and then add effects on Premiere Elements to make stills look like a movie, or capture a video frame, edit it on Photoshop Elements like a still and return it back to Premiere Elements to create video with attractive freeze frame effects.
Optimum colour adjustment is made automatically to match the content. Standard is suitable for photo editing, setting the colour temperature to D65 (6500K) and simultaneously setting an ICC profile. Also a Print mode suitable for editing photos for prints is available, which sets the colour temperature at 5000K and simultaneously sets an ICC profile.
Anytime you want to watch HD content on an even bigger screen, just make a single connection. By linking VAIO AW to an external high-definition display via an HDMI cable, you can enjoy even more powerful high quality images and sound, while provided utility software lets you easily set the HDMI output resolution.
