VAIO BZ knows that business is a severe environment. That’s why it’s more than ready to protect your critical information with sturdy construction and security features.
Sony runs many rigorous quality-assurance tests to predict damage variables in such business scenarios as accidental falls, high-pressure vibration from crowded trains, liquid spillage and single-point pressure from hands or elbows.

* Quality assurance tests are conducted under specific conditions based strictly on Sony standards. Such tests therefore do not absolutely guarantee against failure or breakdown of this product when used outside of Sony's testing environment. The spill-proof test does not guarantee against product failure, breakdown or safeguards against any loss of data. Please have the product checked in the event of liquid spills.
VAIO BZ provides secure, password-protected encryption and decryption of files and folders with a built-in TPM (Trusted Platform Module) security chip. Since the encryption key is stored on the security chip, unauthorised access and reading of data is not possible after removing the hard disk drive.
* A TPM password must be input every time a user accesses encrypted files and folders, and it cannot be bypassed by the fingerprint sensor.
Another way VAIO BZ protects your precious data. When the built-in 3D acceleration sensor senses shakes and/or shocks, VAIO HDD Protection places the HDD head in a safe position to prevent important data loss caused by disk damage. If VAIO HDD Protection detects any threatening movements, an alert balloon will appear on your desktop.
* Prevention of hard disk damage or protection of data cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances.
