VAIO BZ provides secure, password-protected encryption and decryption of files and folders with a built-in TPM (Trusted Platform Module) security chip. Since the encryption key is stored on the security chip, unauthorised access and reading of data is not possible after removing the hard disk drive.
* A TPM password must be input every time a user accesses encrypted files and folders, and it cannot be bypassed by the fingerprint sensor.
Another way VAIO BZ protects your precious data. When the built-in 3D acceleration sensor senses shakes and/or shocks, VAIO HDD Protection places the HDD head in a safe position to prevent important data loss caused by disk damage. If VAIO HDD Protection detects any threatening movements, an alert balloon will appear on your desktop.
